I watched a documentary last night about the work of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeguard Institution) whose volunteers have been trained to rescue people at sea. In one example, when a Mayday was put out for a man who had fallen in the water, several boats and a helicopter turned up to help. Apparently, the reason why there were so many to the rescue was because when a Mayday goes out, ships and boats closest to the vicinity are obliged to respond. I reckon they had nothing to do really so they all turned up for some action. :-)
It got me thinking that if people who are imperfect can respond so quickly to someone in danger, imagine what it's like when I put out a Cosmic Mayday out (prayer). There must be zillions of angels falling over backwards at my prayer requests.
All the more reason why I believe it's important to ask for help at all times.
